La Quinceañera is the most important birthday a child can have because it represents them coming of age. Quinceañeras are done through the church which leads children through classes up until they turn 15. Most Quinceañeras start with an elaborate religious ceremony which then moves to a reception where the celebration starts. The entire night is filled with food, loved ones, and music for everyone to enjoy themselves. Often, the Quinceañera girl will spend months, if not years preparing for her important life event. She’ll assemble a complete court of maids and their escorts, and they’ll perform elaborate choreographed waltzes and other entertainment.
As one can imagine, there is a lot of thought and work that goes into planning an event such as a Quinceañera. All loved ones in the child’s life are present such as cousins, close friends, and siblings. This team of people will help with planning and preparing for the Quinceañera. The person turning 15 has the complete freedom to choose whatever they want to have on their special day such as decorations, food, and music.
We have put together the ultimate tablescape with purple white and silver accents, which is a fun yet sophisticated theme that represents a child coming to age. Utilizing the purple pinwheel tablecloth, we added the silver beaded chargers and silver Shantung Silk napkins. The napkins are folded and placed on top of the plates in a diamond shaped fold.
For the center piece of the table there are decorations placed that have significance for the girl. The items creating this center piece is a wine bottle, a tiara, some gems and a light up letter representing the girls’ name, and her favorite flowers.
