Summer is quickly approaching. Days are getting longer and warmer. You want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. A summer movie night is the perfect way for you and your family to spend time together this summer. We set up an outdoor theater and want to show you how to create one for your own backyard!
First, we set up a relaxing seating area. A large area rug served as our protection from the ground. Next, we set up pillows and a basket with blankets. The pillows match the design of the rug perfectly. The pop of green from the pillows and the grass put a finishing touch on the look. Lastly, we placed candle lanterns around the seating area to light when the sun goes down.
A movie night wouldn’t be complete without refreshments! We set up a coffee bar complete with different flavors of syrups. Guests can also choose to make Italian sodas with the same ingredients. The centerpieces for the coffee bar are one of our favorite details. We took popcorn bins and filled them with white carnations. The final look resembles that of popcorn spilling out the top of the tin. We chose green and pink to add some vibrancy to the table. These centerpieces add an extra special touch that will wow your guests.
Finally, we set up the main attraction, the movie screen! We used our brand-new pipe and drape set to put together a screen. We turned the draping fabric horizontally and clipped it using our 5.5 in background clips. The pipe and drape set create beautiful backdrops at weddings and events. And now they create a way to have fun filled family nights! If you don’t have a pipe and drape set, you could also put together a screen using a bed sheet or tablecloth strewn over a clothesline or wrapped between two trees. There you have it! Everything you need to put together your very own summer movie night.
