Celebrity Wedding Designer Colin Cowie a few weeks ago posted on Facebook an amazing way of adding hints of color to your reception table, whether it’s for a wedding or a special event that you’re hosting. This will be helpful especially if the venue sets up the stage for a vibrant yet low-key celebration. Instead of using stylish napkin rings that feature an elegant, chrome finish, why not create colorful button napkin rings? Follow the steps below:
What you will need:
2.5-3.5 feet of ribbon per napkin
1 semi large 4 holed button per napkin
Trim both ends of your ribbon to small points so that it will fit through the holes of your button.
Put the ribbon through one of the holes in the button from back to front.
Pull the ribbon from front to back in the hole that is diagonal from the one that you just put the ribbon through, and make sure that the ends are even.
Pull both each of the ends through one of the remaining holes leaving about a 1-2 in loop in back of the button.
Put the loops over the rolled up napkin and tighten the loops down.
The tips that you cut into the ribbon will be quite frayed so you will want to trim them into nice points.
