DIY: Spring Flowers!

When we think of Spring, we think of flowers blooming in bright, vibrant colors. This DIY decoration brings together the main elements of the season into one simple and elegant project. What you will need; hot glue gun, glue sticks, wine or ribbon.

The first step is to decide which letter or phrase you want to spell out. We wanted something fun and cheerful for the season so we chose, “SPRING”. Other options for the season would be, “BLOOM”, “HELLO SUNSHINE”, or “ADVENTURE”.

Once you have chosen your word, you will need to determine what type of flowers and what colors you want your project to be. We used a mixture of flowers for two of the letters and applied a monochromatic style to the other four letters. This constructed a creative and quirky look that is perfect for spring!

You can be as detailed or relaxed on the pattern as you want. After you have gathered your materials it’s time to get crafting! Snip or pull off the flower heads from their stems so they are easier to work with. A letter covered in rich green leaves would capture this time of year perfectly! Arrange your flowers into a layout that you like and glue them down.

When all the letters are completely covered with flowers use twine or ribbon to create a loop for them to hang on. You can also hang them without a hook using the edge of the letters themselves.

Show off your creation! Tell us in the comments below which word or phrase you chose!
