We recently set up a gorgeous charcoal and green themed photoshoot at The Ainsworth House and Garden. The Ainsworth House was built in 1851 and currently sits on two acres of lavish garden greens. We set up in the grand reception room but there are several locations on the grounds to choose from!
The Pine Tree Garden sits under a 200+ year old Ponderosa Pine. This exquisite piece of nature is the perfect backdrop for your ceremony and photos!
Hold your ceremony on the main house lawn to be a part of this picturesque venue’s history.
The grove is an intimate and romantic choice for your nuptials. This space highlights several decorative art pieces. Your wedding is the only event at the facility that day, giving you the option to move your ceremony to your favorite spot on the grounds.
The reception space features a warm fireplace accented with tulle that serves as the focal point of the room.
We choose a green and charcoal color scheme to match the botanical feel of the venue. For visual effect, we chose two different materials for the charcoal gray tablecloths; crinkle taffeta and shantung silk.
The chairs are covered with our elegant ruffled stretch chair cover. We completed the look by creating DIY organza chair sashes pinned with a champagne colored peony.
Keeping with the botanical theme, we put together lively centerpieces filled with greens and blooms. White Floral garland and leaves and ivy encompass a brass candlestick. The candlestick is adorned with green hydrangeas and topped with a taper candle. Elegant and romantic!
Guest’s place settings were marked with classic white escort cards. They add a special touch without competing with the table décor.
The head table has the same elements as the main tables with one added detail; a silver Payette sequin table runner. The silver sequins blend beautifully with the flowers and greens. A simple touch that elevates the look of the whole table. Guests at the head table can find their place cards atop a lush green leaf. So exquisite!
A silver Payette sequin tablecloth makes the cake table an absolute showstopper. This table has the simplest design of the photoshoot and has the greatest impact. We topped the sequin tablecloth with flowers arranged around the cake. A few white flowers served as the cake topper. Perfect for a garden paradise. The final formation was simple but oh so lovely!
